They’re beauties. You got some really nice shots here, Matt. I’m excited to “watch” them mature and see how their patterning develops, whether it stays similar or morphs as with so many of our most beautiful marine fish. Keep up the good work and thanks for the update! I’ve been going crazy without my Lightning Fix!

wow. Nick, your right I find myself checking back way too often for updates, I caught the bug. The fish look amazing, somewhat a little weird but maybe that’s how they look at this stage. when do you expect the lightning pattern to become more distinct? they seem pretty “hazy”.
Edgar, my guess is that the lightning pattern may not appear at all. The ‘stripes’ are somewhat ‘weird’ at this point, but may become something more distinct over time. Matt may have a better idea of this? I know very little about genetics and mostly am just fascinated with the beautiful mama that unfortunately after reading the most recent post doesn’t seem to be a very happy fish right now. Hopefully things will get better. I look forward to more updates on both the babies and of course the Beautiful lightning herself. Here’s to good fish health! Cheers!
